The Divas Network has been created to cater for the Entrepreneur women in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas who often have difficulties in attending networking events.

Often when we use the word "entrepreneur" the images that come into our head are those of men who have made it in the business world such as Richard Branson and John Caudwell. Due to media focus on such business people women are often forgotten or concentrated on less than their male rivals.

An entrepreneur in our opinion is someone that is not afraid to take a risk, has ideas about what type of business they want, is aspring, determinded, openminded and can be male or female. The list isn't restricted to just the above, but we don't want to bore you with how we see entrepreneurs.

What we want to do is offer a networking environment via events for those women who want to network but do not benefit from the events they attend/ often feel out of place/prefer women only events/cannot afford the expensive meals etc often put on by other organisations.

And by scraping the idea of membership fees (for at least the first year!), we are opening up the gateway to all ladies out there. We're not out to rival other organisations, we just want to offer an alternative.

"I'm not one of them, I'm just a cardmaker/ chutney maker....etc etc..."

Lets get one thing straight from the start. Just because you make cards and don't make hundreds from them you are still an entrepreneur. You do not have to make loads of money to be a sucessful business women or entrepreneur.  Success is what you want it to be, not what others think it is.
